Carville says he would rather see GOP House than DSA-led Democrats
Original: Carville prefers Republican House to DSA
Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville is drawing attention after saying he would prefer Republicans to keep control of the US House of Representatives rather than have Democrats aligned with the Democratic Socialists of America take power. The remark has sparked backlash from progressive Democrats and debate within the party about its direction ahead of coming elections.
Why now: Carville's blunt rejection of the Democratic Socialists of America has reignited infighting between centrist and progressive wings of the Democratic Party.
