Nostalgia for the George Michael Sports Machine Returns

Original: Just had the most random memory of being a youngster on sundays About ready to go to bed, and then George Michael Sports

People are reminiscing about the George Michael Sports Machine, the syndicated Sunday-night sports highlight show many American children watched before bed in the 1980s and 1990s. One post recalling watching it without cable, alongside This Week in Baseball, struck a chord with others who grew up when it was the only way to see highlights from around the country. The show, hosted by Washington sportscaster George Michael, ended its run in 2007.

Why now: A nostalgic post about a long-cancelled Sunday-night sports show prompted others to share memories of 1980s and 1990s television.
