Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has publicly accused the United States of pressuring Ukraine towards capitulation and of delaying promised deliveries of Patriot missile systems. His comments mark an unusually sharp rift between Kyiv and Washington amid ongoing talks over the war with Russia, with air defence systems seen as critical to protecting Ukrainian cities from Russian strikes.
Why now: Tensions between Ukraine and the US over military support and peace terms have escalated publicly.
