Original: Fence Damaged at Leipzig Airport, Site of August Sabotage Attempt Against Ukrainian An-124 https:// lemmy.ca/post/725703
A fence has been damaged at Leipzig/Halle Airport in Germany, the site where an August sabotage attempt targeted a Ukrainian Antonov An-124 cargo aircraft. The airport confirmed the fence damage, and it is drawing renewed attention to security around the facility following the earlier incident, which was linked to suspected sabotage connected to the war in Ukraine.
Why now: The fence damage is newsworthy because it occurred at the same airport where a sabotage attempt against a Ukrainian An-124 was made in August, raising security concerns.
