The Operation Münsterland nature and outdoors account has announced a move to a new channel on Friendica, a decentralised social network. It told followers that an automatic migration from Mastodon to Friendica is not possible, so readers need to follow the new account themselves. The post highlights growing interest in alternatives to Mastodon within the fediverse.
Why now: Users are discussing migrating between decentralised social networks, a topic that is difficult because automatic account moves are not supported.
