Nine rocket launches scheduled this week worldwide

Spaceflight trackers say nine launches are planned this week. SpaceX is set to fly its Falcon 9 three times, including the Bandwagon 5 dedicated mid-inclination rideshare mission on Monday 19 October and a Starlink Group 15-15 mission on Tuesday. Japan's JAXA also plans the H3-24 launch carrying the Martian Moons eXploration (MMX) probe on Monday, with six further launches from other providers filling out the schedule.

Why now: A crowded launch calendar including JAXA's Mars moon mission and multiple SpaceX flights is drawing attention from space enthusiasts.
