Elon Musk promises a SpaceX share to every American child
Original: Elon Musk says he'll give a SpaceX share to every child in America next year
Elon Musk says he will give a share of SpaceX to every child in America next year. The pledge, reported by CNBC and circulating widely online, would be an unprecedented mass giveaway of stock in his private space company. Details on how such a distribution would work, and whether SpaceX's board would approve it, have not been disclosed.
Why now: The scale and vagueness of a promise to hand SpaceX stock to tens of millions of children is drawing widespread attention and skepticism.
