Elon Musk Promises a SpaceX Share to Every American Child
Original: Elon Musk Says He Will Give a SpaceX Share to ‘Every Kid in America’
Elon Musk has said he will give a share of SpaceX to "every kid in America," a sweeping pledge picked up by major outlets including The New York Times and CNN. The claim, made without detailed terms, has drawn attention to questions of feasibility, legality and how such a giveaway to millions of children would actually work.
Why now: The enormous scale of the pledge and the lack of detail about how it would be carried out make it a striking and widely shared statement.
