Original: televisión digital
Spain's digital terrestrial television is entering a new phase on 5 November. La 2Cat launches its own channel on the TDT with expanded Catalan-language programming, a new UHD 4K channel prepares to debut, and viewers are being told to retune their televisions. Meanwhile, the Castilla y León regional government is spending 5.5 million euros to secure the TDT signal in rural areas of the region.
Why now: A coordinated 5 November retune and channel launch is prompting Spanish viewers to discuss changes to their television service.
