'Orbital truth' urged onto diplomatic agendas
Original: ‘Orbital truth’ deserves fair amount of attention at meeting tables
A commentary in China Daily Hong Kong argues that what it calls 'orbital truth' deserves serious attention at meeting tables, urging governments to confront the realities of space governance. The piece reflects growing international debate over satellite congestion, orbital debris and the rules needed to manage increasingly crowded orbits as more nations and companies launch assets into space.
Why now: Space governance and orbital debris are rising concerns as satellite launches multiply and nations push for rules governing orbital activity.
