Sony has shadow-dropped the Zenith update for Saros, Housemarque's fast-paced bullet-hell shooter, without prior warning. The update adds a boss rush mode, New Game+ support, new Carcosan modifiers for tuning difficulty, and golden crown power-ups. Players are praising the free content drop and debating how the modifiers change the challenge.

Why now: Housemarque games draw a dedicated following, and an unannounced update adding substantial replay features immediately caught the gaming community's attention.
