EU packaging rules push small German online shop to close

Germany's small businesses are reacting to the EU's Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, in force since August. A bakery from Norden says the rules have claimed their first victims: her husband is shutting down his online shop at the end of the month because he can no longer sell into the EU single market under the new packaging requirements.
Why now: Small sellers are voicing frustration that the new EU packaging regulation imposes compliance burdens they cannot meet.
