Trump's arch plans quietly drop proposed military complex
Original: New plans for Trump's arch don't mention the 'military complex' he said it would host
Newly released plans for the triumphal arch President Trump has proposed building in Washington no longer include the military complex he previously said would be housed there. Trump had said the monument would honor the US military and host a military complex, but current design documents make no mention of it, drawing attention to the project's shifting scope.
Why now: Reports show a visible change between Trump's public promises and the official plans, prompting questions about the project's cost and purpose.
