Aleksander Aamodt Kilde suffers new injury in Chile

Original: aleksander kilde

Norwegian alpine skiing star Aleksander Aamodt Kilde has suffered another serious injury, tearing his Achilles tendon during training in Chile. The setback comes as the 32-year-old was working on his comeback from the severe injuries sustained in a downhill crash in Wengen in January 2024, and it puts his return to World Cup racing in serious doubt.

Why now: The two-time overall World Cup runner-up was attempting a comeback from long-term injury, so news of a fresh serious injury draws widespread attention in the skiing world.
