Storm Adam floods Spain, forcing over 100,000 students out of school

Original: New consequences of Global Warming, which MEPs have been fighting for the last 35 years only on paper: Powerful storm Ad

Storm Adam has caused severe flooding in Spain, with reports that more than 100,000 students are unable to attend classes. Commentators link the event to global warming, criticising European lawmakers for what they call 35 years of climate commitments that exist only on paper while extreme weather intensifies.

Why now: Fresh flooding and school closures in Spain are drawing attention to climate change and the gap between EU climate promises and action.
