Vatican envoy calls for human-centred technology at G20 Interfaith Forum
Original: Apostolic nuncio urges human-centered approach to technology at G20 Interfaith Forum
An apostolic nuncio urged participants at the G20 Interfaith Forum to adopt a human-centred approach to technology, arguing that technological development should serve people rather than dominate them. The appeal, reported by EWTN News, reflects the Vatican's broader push to place ethics and human dignity at the centre of debates on artificial intelligence and digital innovation, as religious leaders weigh in alongside governments ahead of the G20.
Why now: Religious leaders are increasingly intervening in global debates on artificial intelligence and technology ethics, and the G20 provides a prominent stage.
