Stephen Curry 'fine' after ankle tweak, will face Lakers
Original: Stephen Curry 'fine' after leaving practice early following ankle tweak, will play in season opener vs. Lakers
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry tweaked his ankle during practice and left the session early, but the team says he is 'fine' and he is expected to play in the season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers. Ankle issues have shadowed Curry in past seasons, so any hint of an injury to the two-time MVP draws immediate attention from Warriors fans ahead of the new NBA campaign.
Why now: Curry's history of ankle problems makes any tweak to that joint newsworthy just before the season begins.
