Nature photographers are sharing macro shots of the Buffalo Planthopper, a small insect named for its bison-like shape, noting its distinctive striped eyes. One photographer reported seeing the insects in a backyard for the first time after previously finding them only in a local park, suggesting the species may be spreading to new areas.
