Senator Slotkin refuses to back down from Trump clash
Original: slotkin
Democratic Senator Elissa Slotkin is drawing attention after refusing to retreat from her criticism of President Trump, saying it is 'not my first rodeo' as he presses attacks against her. She has also called for prosecutions of GOP figures, a stance that Fox News frames as an effort to deter young people from working in the Trump administration. Supporters see her as standing firm; critics accuse her of politicizing prosecutions.
Why now: Slotkin's defiant stance against Trump and her calls for prosecutions are stirring partisan debate in the US.
