Putin pauses for blind woman after skipping her in line
Original: Putin accidentally skips over a blind woman… then does something that nobody expected
Vladimir Putin was greeting a line of well-wishers when he walked past a blind woman without noticing her, then stopped, went back and greeted her personally. The moment has been shared widely, with some seeing it as a rare display of warmth from the Russian president and others viewing it as staged optics.
Why now: A clip showing an unexpectedly humane gesture from a heavily criticised world leader is drawing wide attention.
