Year-Long Open-Source Smart Gym Project Draws Attention

Original: I Spent a Year Building an Open-Source Smart Gym

Developer Trenton Dragon has spent a year building an open-source smart gym, and is sharing the project with the public. The release is drawing significant interest, with many people discussing the idea of a DIY, open-source alternative to commercial connected gym equipment that users can build, modify and control themselves.

Why now: Interest in open-source alternatives to proprietary smart fitness equipment is high, and a completed year-long DIY build is notable.
