Self-hosted dead man's switch for solo developers launches
Original: Show HN: Death Plan Switch, a self-hosted dead man's switch for solo devs
A new open tool called Death Plan Switch has been released, offering a self-hosted dead man's switch aimed at solo developers. The service checks in with the user regularly and releases pre-written messages, credentials or documentation to designated recipients if the user fails to respond, ensuring projects and accounts aren't lost if something happens to them. It is generating discussion among independent developers about continuity planning for one-person operations.
Why now: Solo developers are increasingly concerned about what happens to their projects and data if they become unavailable or die.
