Madrid plots in Ciudad Lineal and Hortaleza to host senior cohousing

Original: hortaleza

Madrid city hall will turn two unused municipal plots in the Ciudad Lineal and Hortaleza districts into 95 homes for senior cohousing projects. The plan aims to give older residents shared, community-oriented housing on public land that has stood vacant, and local media are reporting the scheme as a new model for elderly accommodation in the Spanish capital.

Why now: The announcement of a new housing model for the elderly on idle public land in Madrid is drawing attention.
