A Monday news roundup circulating in Britain claims civil servants have been found embedded in the BBC's Verify unit, that BBC Bitesize content is indoctrinating children into approving illegal immigration, that the government is considering a business tax passed on to children, and that a convicted ISIS member has been placed in a bail hostel. The claims are framed as evidence of an 'Orwellian' political culture in the UK.

Why now: The claims about BBC independence, immigration messaging in schools and a convicted terrorist's placement are controversial and politically charged, driving debate.
