French DIY community debates total fidelity to creative projects
Original: l'important est d'être totalement fidèle au projet tag : mot pour mot, didascalies comprises, jusqu'au-boutisme, # DIY #
A French-language DIY and crafts discussion is centring on the idea of staying completely faithful to a creative project, word for word, stage directions included, taken to the point of extremity. Posts link the approach to sculpture, artisan work and psychology, prompting reflection on perfectionism and artistic commitment among makers.
Why now: DIY and craft enthusiasts are debating whether radical faithfulness to a project's original vision is a virtue or a form of perfectionism.
