Anarchist artist answers money criticism with free digital copies
Original: Some people : "You claim that you're an anarchist yet you sell prints and make money with them" Me : *offers free digita
An artist who identifies as an anarchist has responded to critics who accused them of hypocrisy for selling prints of their work online. The artist points out that they have offered free digital versions of their art since launching their shop, and say a notice stating this is posted on every product page. The exchange has drawn small engagement in art circles.
Why now: The tension between anti-capitalist principles and the need to earn money from art is a recurring debate.
