Readers debate the romance tropes that fall flat
Original: # Romance # tropes - when they don't work # reading # books
Book readers are discussing romance tropes and, specifically, the moments when they fail to land. The conversation, tagged under books and reading, invites people to name recurring romance clichés that break a story instead of enriching it. It is a light, opinion-driven debate among fiction readers about what makes romantic plots convincing.
Why now: Romance tropes are a perennially contested topic in online reading communities, and shared complaints about clichés invite wide participation.
