A sarcastic message circulating online claims that police officers in Paris are so badly paid that they resort to looting after work, adding mockingly that better education would prevent it. The post tags the claim with 'agent provocateur', suggesting it is an ironic jab rather than a serious allegation, and urges readers to stay united.
Why now: Sarcasm tying police pay, unrest-related looting and education into one provocative joke is drawing attention.
