Ryanair CEO calls Ursula von der Leyen 'useless'
Ryanair chief Michael O'Leary has publicly branded European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen 'useless', according to Euronews. The insult from the head of Europe's largest budget airline against the EU's most senior official has drawn attention, given O'Leary's history of blunt criticism of Brussels over aviation taxes, regulation and airport charges.
Why now: The head of a major airline openly insulting the European Commission president is a striking clash between business and EU leadership.
