Uzbekistan signs the Artemis Accords
Uzbekistan has signed the Artemis Accords, the US-led framework for cooperation on civil space exploration, becoming one of the latest countries to join the agreement. The accords, built around NASA's Artemis lunar programme, set principles for transparency, interoperability and the peaceful use of space. Uzbekistan's accession extends the initiative's reach into Central Asia.
Why now: Uzbekistan's accession is a new expansion of the US-led space coalition into Central Asia.
