Viewer revisits Disney's Hercules and rates it three stars
Original: Hercules, 1997 - ★★★ Basically a good (though flawed) film. The main advantage is the music. https:// letterboxd.com/mto
A film fan has given Disney's 1997 animated Hercules a three-star review, calling it a basically good though flawed film whose main strength is the music. The take reflects a common re-evaluation of the Disney Renaissance-era title: admired for its gospel-inspired soundtrack and tongue-in-cheek humour, but critiqued for its loose handling of Greek mythology and uneven story compared with the studio's strongest classics.
Why now: Hercules is being rewatched and reassessed as classic Disney animation continues to draw nostalgic attention.
