South African property company Redefine has launched what it describes as the first purpose-built solar wheeling project in Cape Town. The development allows solar-generated electricity to be wheeled across the grid to Redefine's properties, part of a broader corporate shift toward renewable energy amid South Africa's ongoing power supply challenges.
Why now: Businesses in South Africa are actively seeking alternatives to Eskom's unreliable grid, making new renewable energy models like wheeling newsworthy.
