Original: 'Give us lessons on personal finance and how to get a job,' teens say
Teenagers in the UK are calling on schools to teach practical life skills, including personal finance, how to find a job, and work experience opportunities. They also want more support in developing communication skills, arguing the current curriculum leaves them unprepared for adult life and employment. The comments come from a BBC News report examining what young people feel is missing from their education.
Why now: The BBC report on teens' demands for practical life-skills education is drawing attention to debates about whether the school curriculum prepares young people for work and money management.
