Film Tied to Tom Cruise Flops but Hailed as Climate Cinema
Original: Tom Cruise’s Digger is a commercial flop – but also the perfect climate film for our time
A Guardian opinion piece argues that a recent film, described as Tom Cruise's 'Digger', has flopped commercially but deserves recognition as a timely film about the climate crisis. The writer contends that its box-office failure does not diminish its relevance, positioning it as an overlooked work for the current environmental moment.
Why now: The provocative contrast between commercial failure and climate relevance is prompting debate about the film's merits.
