Consumer finance campaigner Martin Lewis says he has been receiving messages asking him to respond to the situation in France, prompting a blunt public reply. In a post that drew more than 37,000 likes, he asked what a UK consumer finance specialist was expected to do about events in France. The exchange is being widely shared and discussed in both the UK and France.
Why now: People are reacting to Lewis's blunt refusal to weigh in on the unrest in France, and the post is trending on both sides of the Channel.
