ADL condemns Trump's antisemitic slur without naming him

The Anti-Defamation League has condemned an antisemitic slur used by Donald Trump at a Kansas rally, but its statement stopped short of naming the president directly. The Guardian reports the response has drawn criticism, with observers arguing the Jewish civil rights organisation softened its rebuke of a figure it frequently avoided confronting by name.
Why now: People are debating the ADL's decision to criticise the slur while avoiding naming Trump, seen by many as a pointed withholding of accountability.
