Two players who were swapped in a trade eight years ago are now set to face each other in the World Series. Both were named MVP of their respective league championship series, and each will meet their former team in the Fall Classic, a storyline drawing attention among baseball fans in Japan and beyond.
Why now: The rare coincidence of traded players winning LCS MVP honours and immediately facing their old clubs has made the matchup a talking point.
