Pillowfort Is Shutting Down
Original: Pillowfort Is Closing
Pillowfort, the Tumblr-style social blogging platform launched as an alternative to mainstream sites, is closing down. The announcement has drawn reaction from its small but dedicated user base, many of whom valued its community-focused features and creator-friendly policies. Details about the closure timeline and reasons were not included with the notice being shared.
Why now: The closure of a niche but beloved alternative social network affects its existing users and raises questions about the viability of independent platforms.
