Iran's Revolutionary Guards say an advanced air defense system destroyed a US MQ-9 Reaper drone, which they describe as the 54th such downing, and warned that new targets could follow. The claim, reported by the Palestine Chronicle, comes amid heightened tensions between Iran and the United States across the region, with observers closely watching whether Washington confirms the loss and how it responds.
Why now: Ongoing Iran-US tensions make every reported strike on American military assets a flashpoint for escalation.
