Netanyahu claims bombing of Yandex center in Russia
Original: Netanyahu: There was a bombing of a Yandex center in Russia. Sixty percent of the [online activity] coming from Russian
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said there was a bombing of a Yandex center in Russia, claiming that sixty percent of online activity directed against Israel had come from Russian actors and that it disappeared as a result. The remark, circulated widely in Russian-language and pro-Ukraine online communities, has drawn attention for its unusual claim linking a strike in Russia to information operations targeting Israel. Russian authorities and Yandex have not publicly responded, and the exact circumstances of the reported strike remain unconfirmed.
Why now: Netanyahu's claim that a strike in Russia eliminated anti-Israel online activity is striking and unverified, prompting wide discussion
