Silent Service II nostalgia recalls 1990s submarine gaming
Original: Rok 1990. 🗺️ Na stole mapa Tichého oceánu, vedle ní manuál silný jako telefonní seznam a v mechanice cvaká disketa. Sile
Retro gaming fans are reminiscing about Silent Service II, the 1990 MicroProse submarine simulator played on DOS machines. One Czech-language post paints the scene: a map of the Pacific on the desk, a manual as thick as a phone book, and a floppy disk clicking in the drive. Commenters say the game 'raised a generation of submarine commanders' in the 1990s.
Why now: Retro gaming nostalgia for classic 1990 DOS sims like Silent Service II is circulating among hobbyist communities.
