Sat.1's new morning show 'Deutschland am Morgen' draws attention

Original: deutschland am morgen

Sat.1's breakfast programme is making headlines under the name 'Deutschland am Morgen'. The format was initially mocked when it launched, but reports now describe it as standing alongside — or ahead of — the long-running Sat.1 'Frühstücksfernsehen'. Commentators are debating whether the revamped morning show can hold its audience after a rocky start.

Why now: The show's turnaround from being ridiculed to outperforming expectations is prompting fresh discussion about Germany's breakfast TV battle.
