UN University Urges Caution in Deep Ocean Policy
Original: Keeping Options Open in the Deep Ocean
The United Nations University has published a piece titled 'Keeping Options Open in the Deep Ocean', addressing how the international community should manage activities in deep-sea areas. The article frames the deep ocean as a space where decisions taken today could constrain choices for future generations, though the evidence provides no further detail on its arguments.
Why now: Ongoing debate over deep-sea mining and seabed governance keeps deep-ocean policy in the news.
