Commenters Warn MAGA May Exploit Riots to Declare National Emergency
Original: # MAGA needs riots to happen in the United States SO THEY CAN DECLARE NATIONAL EMERGENCY and lock down HOME DEPOT! Don't
A claim circulating among US politics watchers online says supporters of the MAGA movement want riots to break out in the United States so the government can declare a national emergency. The message warns readers not to fall for 'rage bait' and references France, the 'No Kings' protest movement, and calls to vote. No evidence is offered for the underlying claim; it reads as political commentary and a warning against provocation during a tense election period.
Why now: Political tension in the United States is driving speculation and warnings about manufactured unrest and emergency powers.
