BBC reviewing rape joke row as Daniel Sloss chatter grows

Original: daniel sloss rebecca

The BBC says it is 'actively considering' the controversy surrounding comedian Vittorio Angelone, after a sitcom star apologised for a rape remark. Separately, comedian Daniel Sloss's name is being searched alongside 'Rebecca', a reference widely associated with his well-known stand-up material. The overlapping interest suggests renewed attention on comedy, offensive jokes and what broadcasters should air.

Why now: A BBC controversy over a rape joke has put comedians' material and past routines back in the spotlight.
