Cold nights signal end of bug season in Alberta
Original: 'Bug' season is winding down here- we've had many nights below freezing, very few flowers left etc. I haven't seen # mot
A nature observer in western Canada reports moth season winding down after repeated nights below freezing have left few flowers in bloom. Moths that once gathered at outdoor night lights have largely disappeared, though a few were recently spotted through a window and photographed from indoors in the dark. The post has drawn modest engagement from wildlife watchers comparing seasonal changes in their own areas.
Why now: Seasonal wildlife posts resonate as cold weather marks the end of insect season across northern regions.
