92-Year-Old Veteran Publishes Book About WWII
Original: 92-year-old vet pens book about WWII
A 92-year-old military veteran has written and published a book drawing on his experiences during the Second World War. The release highlights the shrinking window to record firsthand accounts from WWII veterans, now mostly in their 90s. Local press coverage of the author and his memoir has drawn attention to wartime memories being preserved in print by a member of the war's last living generation.
Why now: Firsthand accounts from aging WWII veterans are increasingly rare, making new memoirs notable.
