Trump says he'll personally decide who gets whistle-blower rewards
Original: So, Trump got his personal bribe fund after all! Watch for all the Jan 6 payouts! Trump Says He’ll Decide Who Gets Rewar
Donald Trump said he will personally decide who receives rewards from a new whistle-blower programme, drawing criticism that the scheme could be used to reward loyalists, including people connected to the January 6 events. Critics have called it a 'personal bribe fund' and warned it politicises what should be an independent process.
Why now: Trump's plan to hand-pick reward recipients raises concerns about political abuse of a federal whistle-blower programme.
