Japanese media report that official websites of celebrities are being shut down or suspended one after another, including Abe Hiroshi's famously minimalist homepage, a long-running internet favorite in Japan. Sponichi Annex covers the wave of outages, and the unusual sight of even that famously simple site going offline has become a talking point among Japanese social media users.
Why now: The suspension of Abe Hiroshi's famously bare-bones homepage, a beloved internet curiosity, made the wider wave of celebrity site outages a trending topic.
