Lakers waive Dalton Knecht as new season storylines build
Original: レイカーズ
The Los Angeles Lakers are making news in Japan and abroad on two fronts. The team waived former first-round draft pick Dalton Knecht, with coach JJ Redick explaining that "what is needed has changed." Meanwhile, the Lakers shared a warm reunion moment between Luka Doncic and Rui Hachimura, with Doncic playfully surprising his teammate at practice. Japanese fans are closely following Hachimura's role on the roster.
Why now: Japanese interest in the Lakers is driven by Rui Hachimura's popularity plus the surprise Knecht waiver decision.
